Doug serves as a Senior Wealth Advisor with Soltis Investment Advisors, where he works closely with individuals, families, and business owners to build and steward wealth across generations. With decades of experience in financial services, Doug brings a comprehensive perspective to his client relationships, integrating investment management, financial planning, tax considerations, and business strategy into a single co-ordinated approach. He has been a CFP® certificant since 1999 and also holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) certification from the Investments & Wealth Institute.
Before joining Soltis, Doug co-founded Artifex Financial Group in 2007, a fee-only financial planning and investment management firm based in Dayton, Ohio. Under his leadership, the firm grew to advise more than $300 million in assets on behalf of over 300 client households and local businesses, providing personal financial advice, investment management, business consulting, and tax services. That experience of building a practice from the ground up shapes how Doug advises entrepreneurs and executives today.
Doug is a graduate of The Ohio State University and completed the Investment Management Education Program at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He went on to earn his Master’s degree in Strategic Management from Harvard University, following post-graduate work through the Harvard Business School HBX program, and was honored with the Harold Langlois Award for exceptional academic accomplishment.
Outside of work, Doug enjoys spending time with his family (including two golden retrievers), boating, fly fishing, golf, hiking, cycling, and reading. He is a longtime supporter of The Ohio State University and Harvard University, and is a member of the Harvard Varsity Club, the Harvard Alumni Club of Central Ohio, and the Cincinnati Literary Club.
